I bought a flat in Spain in 2002 or so, sold by the children of an old woman who had been widowed some 15 years previously or so. Full of brown furnishings and other paraphernalia of the 70s and 80s. Including a signed commendation from General Franco for her husband, who had been in the Guardia Civil, which was a bit spooky.
There was also a Betamax player and a bunch of tapes, which I was captivated by the idea of, but amid so much junk that had to be cleared to make the place habitable, my plans to store it away as a relic got ditched/overruled.
