One of the perks of being a fully paid up subscriber to the Curious British Telly Substack is ephemeral analogue goodness. Yes, this post heralds another dive into the deepest reaches of old Betamax tapes. As ever, it’s a mixed bag of continuity, clips and adverts which have popped up at the end of recordings. And you’re unlikely to see them anywhere else.

So, this time round, we’ve got Barry Norman interviewing Matthew Broderick around the time of War Games, there’s a whole host of adverts, a couple of Thames in-vision continuity announcers and the start of the first ever episode of Flicks.
